 November 4- 29, 2026

Artworks by: Jan Wheeler, Daniel Wu, Helen Grace Agalawatte, Brenda Neives, Robin Burnett, Lilac Glass

This exhibition brings together Canadian landscape-inspired works in oil, encaustic, glass, and ceramics. Featuring both large-scale pieces and intimate small works, the exhibition considers the land through colour, texture, light, and material.

The artists draw inspiration from time spent directly in the landscape; hiking, paddling, observing, and responding to changing weather and light. Several paintings are rooted in the dramatic terrain of Northern Ontario, including Chikanishing Creek, the Little Pic River, Alona Bay on Lake Superior, and the French River. Other works draw on Blue Mountain and the red sands and coastal winds of Cape Breton.

Rocky shorelines, wind-shaped pines, shifting waters, and changing skies reflect both the energy and quiet of these places. Overall this exhibition invites viewers to bring their own associations to the artworks and find a personal connection to these beautiful images.
