Micak Contemporary Art Gallery is pleased to present New Mythologies, a group exhibition that explores how symbolic stories, archetypes, and mythic structures are created, remembered, and reimagined through contemporary art. Bringing together a selection of artists whose practices engage with storytelling, memory, and transformation, the exhibition examines how cultural narratives evolve over time and continue to shape our understanding of identity, history, and the world around us.

Through painting, sculpture, and photography, the artists in New Mythologies reinterpret visual traditions and symbolic forms drawn from personal, historical, and collective sources. Their works move fluidly between the real and the imagined, transforming familiar motifs into new expressions that reflect the complexities of modern life.

The exhibition considers how myth can function both as a shared cultural language and as a personal imaginative tool as something that evolves through memory, imagination, and lived experience. In re-examining and reshaping these visual and narrative symbols, the artists invite viewers to reflect on how meaning is made, inherited, and continually renewed through contemporary art.
