YANGYANG PAN

Yangyang Pan studied at the Sichuan Fine Art Institute, earning her Honours Bachelor of Arts in 1998 and her Master of Fine Arts in 2002. She remained as an instructor until 2006, when she immigrated to Canada.

 

Her work reflects a deeply personal artistic journey shaped by her cultural experiences in both the East and the West. Drawing inspiration from natural optical impressions, she has developed an abstract visual language that infuses emotion, spontaneity, and spirit into every composition.

 

Pan’s palette is saturated with luminous, high-key colours that captivate the senses and bring a sense of vibrancy and drama to her paintings. Her gestural approach has forged a distinct artistic vocabulary—an expressive blend of idea, desire, and talent emblematic of the global nature of contemporary art.

 

Her work has been exhibited across Canada, the United States, Italy, and China, and she has completed numerous commissions for clients such as Apple, Amour Vert, Holt Renfrew, and Anthropologie. Today, her paintings are held in private, public, and corporate collections worldwide.
